Mission Statement

The Institute for Numerical Simulation is devoted to the design and implementation of computational tools for scientific applications in the Natural and Engineering Sciences, Geosciences and Geodesy, Medicine and Life Sciences and Economy and Finance.

Starting with 2010, the INS announces prizes for good female students.

Prof. Dr. Helmut Harbrecht accepted an offer of the Universität Stuttgart for the SimTech-Chair for Modelling of Uncertain Systems .

Prof. Dr. Rolf Krause is now director of the Institute of Computational Science of the University of Lugano, Switzerland. His research group has moved to Switzerland.
