The 9th Chinese-German Workshop will take place from Monday October 5 to Friday October 9, 2026, in the Mathematikzentrum, Endenicher Allee 60, 53115 Bonn, Lipschitz-Saal, Room 1.016

Note: the lower/ground-level entrance leads into the library. To reach the Lipschitz-Saal directly, use the outside staircase on the Kaufmannstraße side — it takes you straight up to the first floor, right next to Room 1.016.

The 2026’s edition brings the 9th Chinese-German Workshop on Computational and Applied Mathematics to Bonn. The series was successfully initiated in 2005, with previous meetings held in Berlin (2005), Hangzhou (2007), Heidelberg (2009), Guangzhou (2011), Augsburg (2015), Shanghai (2017), Kiel (2019), and — after a break due to the COVID-19 pandemic — reinitiated in Chengdu (2024).

The 2026 Bonn workshop continues this bilateral tradition between Germany and China, rotating its venue every two years. It maintains the established format of invited talks delivered by 25 participants from the host country and 15 from the partner country.

The workshop adheres strictly to an in-person format, given that face-to-face interactions are essential for building sustainable collaborative ties between researchers of both countries.

On foot (~20 min, 1 km) Leave Bonn Hauptbahnhof via the rear exit (south-west) onto Quantiusstraße. Turn right and follow the road — it becomes Colmantstraße, then continues straight into Endenicher Allee. After about 1 km you’ll see the Mathematikzentrum on the right.

By bus Take bus line 604, 605, 606, 607 towards Endenich/Duisdorf and get off at Kaufmannstraße, right in front of the building (approx. 5 min).
